Private Downs is a member of the Mustang Squad, he is Private Newman's right-hand man. He is first introduced in the first mission where he and Newman are held captive in an unknown area. He then returns in 'To the summit', based earlier than than his previous mission. He helps out taking down main leaders before being captured with Newman. He manages to escape and free Newman. Downs and Newman manage to escape and rejoin the Mustangs.
